Nora Grey’s life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn’t pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He’s more elusive than ever (if that’s possible) and what’s worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora’s archenemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn’t been acting so distant, Even with Scott’s totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him – despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.
If that weren’t enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do wit his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything – and everyone – she trusts.

Fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I enjoyed it quite a bit more than Hush, Hush even. Normally people like the first book in the series the most but I might actually enjoy Crescendo the most!
This book was action packed, full of mystery suspense mind numbing romance, ridiculously good looking Patch of course and who could resist Patch? I certainly couldn’t even if my life would be better off without him.
I enjoyed all the twist and turns in this novel, I am really liking the direction I believe this book is going in and that’s a beautiful thing you guys. I really, am just…ugh I really just love this series and all the characters; again Vee just makes me laugh with how ridiculous she is. Nora and Vee’s schemes are hilarious and kind of on the dumb side but that’s what makes it all the more entertaining.
I really like that I didn’t figure out who the bad person was in this story until that person was revealed, I really enjoyed the plot twists with other characters as well including Marcie Miller.  It was a really interesting plot progression for me and I am glad I gave the second book a shot because I was unsure as I did not enjoy the first book quite as much.
Have you guys read this series? What did you think about it? Or at least up until this point! What did you not like about it?!

Book Review: Hush, Hush

Young adult paranormal romance?
3/5

Romance was not part of Nora Grey’s plan. She’s never been attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how hard her best friend Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch comes along, with his easy smile and eyes that see inside her. Patch manages to draw Nora to him against her better judgment.
However, after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora’s not sure whom to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is and seems to know more about her than her closest friends. She can’t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. When she tries to seek some answers she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For she is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those who have fallen-and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost Nora her life.

_____Book Review!_____

It really is hush, hush considering even though I knew it was about ‘Angels’ or something along those lines it took a really, and I mean really long time to get to that. Too just admit it took almost the entire book, it wasn’t until practically the end you find out for sure even though, yes, it’s obvious but sometimes you just can’t take things for granted.
I actually enjoyed this book quite a bit, a lot more than most other 3 star books I’ve read, however I am having a dilemma about how to rate this book. I really don’t know, I mean, on one hand I super enjoyed it but on the other hand it was just lacking something from me. It lacked some oomph that I find in other books I guess, which is kind of frustrating but expected with a book as over clichéd as any books with angel romances are.
That being said, the book wasn’t bad. I thought the actual writing was well done, easy to follow and understand and I really enjoyed most of the characters. There were a couple characters that seemed out of placed, or kind of like they were just thrown into the story to make it more interesting but never really had much of a purpose other than being a filler of the main plot line. Did anyone else who has read Hush, Hush feel that way as well? I am talking about, in particular the plot line between Patch and Miss Greene/Diana (Whatever, I can’t remember for sure if that’s her name because she was so random with her forbidding warnings and random showing up here and there)>
Patch sounded dark, mysterious and eye catching. Like the kind of guy you’d swoon over when he’d walk into the room but obviously there is more than meets the eye with Patch because even though he’s a fallen angel he seems to be able to fall in love…weird? Yes… did that capture my interest? Yes! Authors mission was a success!
The main character Nora was likeable, though she was kind of dumb… somehow she missed the obvious a lot and somehow she just… I don’t know but she was likeable I enjoyed her character although sometimes she seemed out of character? I know that doesn’t make sense but that’s the only way I can think to explain it? I mean…something about her bugs me but I like her… I am weird I understand this ha ha.
My actual favorite character was actually her best friend Vee who I thought was loads of fun, so hilarious and acted like a 16 year old girl in my opinion whereas some of the other characters somehow managed to miss that mark. Which reminds me Nora mentions that Vee is voluptuous like a hundred times… Is this supposed to be a sign that Nora is jealous of her friend’s curves or an insult or what?
I think you would enjoy this book if you liked books like Fallen, or Twilight, or anything along those lines. I’m actually interested in checking out the rest of the series so I will be doing that soon.
Hope you’re all having a lovely day and I’ll be back tomorrow probably with another review! Or discussion? Can you even call what I write a review?
