Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match

_____Book Review____

Beautiful disaster truly is a disaster with main characters that are absolutely crazy. I am sorry but this `romance` was not romance. They do not love each other, they have some weird sick and twisted version of it, but it`s not love. Love doesn`t scream and practically break your door down when you break up with them. Love doesn`t beat up every guy that so much as looks at you and it certainly doesn`t tell you how to act or dress.
This book was crazy, it was insanity and the sad thing was that I`d probably have enjoyed it if Travis wasn`t so vengeful and filled with complete mind numbing rage and obsession. He treats Abby like she belongs to him and he practically stalks her. It`s so messed up, like so messed up I was actually depressed reading this because of how many people I`ve seen praise this book so highly. This book sets woman back so many years, there are so many things wrong with the treatment of Abby that I couldn`t even begin to explain them too you.
Also, there is some really bad sex advice going on in this book. For all the woman and men out there who may or may read this….USE A CONDOM! JUST BECAUSE IT IS TWO DAYS BEFORE YOU’RE EXPECTED PERIOD DOES NOT MEAN YOU CANNOT GET PREGNANT! PLUS THIS GUY HAS SLEPT WITH EVERYONE!!! WHAT ABOUT STI’S!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I did however, Enjoy the relationship between America and Shepley. I thought they were very cute and actually acted like the loved each other. I also really enjoyed Parker and Finch`s characters a whole lot as well they seemed very nice and well rounded. I won`t lie I was really hoping that Abby would forget Travis and date Parker who kept perusing her even though some crazy guy was constantly after her. I would have been considerably happier with that.
Anyways… I don`t really recommend this book to anyone unless you like reading about crazy out of control bad boys and the girls who fall victim to them.
Hopefully my next book will be better! : )

  1. I agree 100% with your review. What I am curious about is what will author write more about either of the characters in her next 2 books. I truly believe that Travis has no ‘story’ to be told.
